GENESIS COMMUNITY ARTS PROGRAM is the Foundation’s annual arts program that began in the summer of 2001 in Brooklyn, NY. The program is designed to make the arts accessible to everyone in various community settings, provide dance workshops for under-privileged and at-risk youth, and to provide access to artistic endeavors for those who may not have the opportunity.

Workshops are offered in music, drama, art and a variety of dance. Workshops will be offered throughout the year and open to participants ages 4 to adult.
Through the outreach program, intensive workshops of 6 weeks or more along with introductory short workshops of one week or less can be scheduled in juvenile and community centers.
All workshops will be taught by professionals with extensive training in their fields.
“It is our mission to positively impact today’s youth so that tomorrow’s adult will positively impact the world.”
-Karen L. Arceneaux, Founder/Director August 2001
